Thank you for this! Aced it! 61 years old.
Cassey,
I just wanted to say thank you for publishing such encouraging workout videos! I’ve been trying to retrain my mind to interact with working out in a way that doesn’t associate modification or having to stop with failure, and even just seeing your legs shake during the pliés was a reminder that the goal isn’t perfection, but improvement and taking care of our bodies. Your vulnerability in your videos, and the ways you provide practical applications for why we should be taking care of our bodies (staying strong, carrying those groceries, etc.) is really helpful throughout the workouts! Thank ya much:)
Wow! This was great, but so hard! My hips can’t get the range of motion you do in the big circles, but it still felt like a work out. Is it normal that my hip clicks on one side and not the other? Weird!
Nope, not weird – my left hip does that too when I do circles! My Pilates teacher (as well as Cassey) says not to worry, unless it hurts. I wish I’d stretched out my right hip flexor before that workout though as that IS somewhere that tends to be painful for me. I did manage the whole workout though, but with about 4 short breaks of a few seconds at a time.
