They look so delicious, Cassey!
I made these this morning and they were super tasty! Thanks Cassey 🙂
Is There anything you can substitute the Banana for??
since I am allergic
Do you spray the plate before you put it in the microwave?
I love these cookies! I make them several times a week. I usually make it with half a banana and 1 dl of oats. Mush it up, fill it with LOTS of blueberries (my hands, lips and tounge gets blue lol) and a little cinnamon. Delicius breakfast for cold days! I am going to make them for a after school snack, and I will try to fill them with a little of al natural peanutbutte 🙂
These were really tasty with peanut butter for frosting. I think I will be craving these for breakfast now. 🙂
Made these with double the banana and loved them so much more than with just 1! Gooey and almost like flapjacks. Really good with a bit of apple and cinnamon 😀
OMG, I just made these, and I had 12 cookies originally, and ended up with 5 left over. my dad ate 3, I had 2 and my mom had 2. She HATES desserts but she really loved this! I added some raisons and craisons 🙂
Next time, I’m adding only a few craisons and raisons, since I added too much and had trouble chewing them with braces, and some cinnamon! Thanks Cassey! These were awesome 🙂
How many calories are in one cookie?
Do the math.
Whooaaahh They’re delicious!! I’ve just try it and I LOVE them. I made them with the oven, does anyone know if they taste the same with the microwave? Thank you Cassie I joined Blogilates yesterday and I’m already like a maniac!! Please put more recipes of easy food they are the best!
Love from Spain
It actually took me 4 minutes to make this cookie, but it nonetheless, it still tasted great! (I did not add any raisins or craisins. A dash of cinnamon works well with this too!!)
Can I use the cereal oats and honey instead of rolled oats?
Heey Cassey!
Thank you so much for this recipe! I saw this video for less than half an hour ago, and I’m already sitting and enjoying them! 😀 Woow, they are super delicious and a perfect snack!
Everyone loves what you guys are usually up too. Such clever work and coverage!
Keep up the excellent works guys I’ve incorporated you guys to blogroll.
SIlly question perhaps, but do these taste a lot like banana?
Actually not really if you bake them long enough! If you don’t really like the banana taste you can add in some unsweetened jam to mask the banana smell 🙂 even more yummy!
No, I struggle with bananas but I couldn’t taste them in this!
😀
Omg I just made these! So goood :-d
Thank you Cassey!!
It’s the ‘beef jerky’ of the cookie world. They reminded me of bomb-shelter rations. But, to each their own. Thank you for taking the time to share.
I made these with a teaspoon of natural, unsweetened cocoa powder and they were delicious! Great recipe post, thanks 🙂
LOVE THESE!!!
Hurray for GF and easy recipes!

Thank you, thank you, thank you :’)
Does anybody know how long these cookies (the microwave ones) will keep? They sound delicious, though!
I made these with oat bran instead of oats (didn’t measure, but maybe a little less than a cup) and a mix of craisins and raisins. Soooo good, thank you Cassey!
just found out about you cassey and you’re awesome! just done three of your workouts back to back and my abs hurt so much. currently consoling myself with green tea while watching your recipe vids 🙂
Mmmmm!! Just made these and they are so good! They literally took me only 10 minutes to make and the fact that they’re so healthy and clean make them THAT much better!! Thank you so much Cassey! Your recipes never fail to impress me. 🙂 <333
These are so delicious! I absolutely love them and will definitely be making them again!

Hey Cassey,
Can you put up some health gluten free recipes?
Would instant oats work instead of rolled oats?
I already made them, but instead of oats I added some muesli and they are perfect for breakfast when you are in a hurry! Thank you Cassei!
What am I doing wrong? 1 banana, 1cup rolled oats, walnuts, 15min in a real oven at the temp suggested in her vid. It came out extremely dry and not sweet enough. Do I need the toaster oven and an extremely ripe banana? The microwave version also didnt turn out well.
Hey Lili!
I would try using a moister filling first. I chuck a bunch of frozen berries in and they counteract the dryness of the oats. They are absolutely delicious and perfectly sweet once the berries heat up a bit. Even my boyfriend LOVES them and he usually isn’t into super-healthy tasting food! (I’m educating him, though, he loves Cassey’s banana pancakes too!)
Definitely try these again because they’re totally worth it! Good luck!
Monica
Maybe your banana was too small? They vary a lot in size, so if it looked too dry, maybe add some water, or applesauce.
Wow that looks amazing! I’ve tried the banana pancakes and those where soo good and fresh! Can’t wait to try these cookies. I would love to see some good healthy Christmas candy:) and some easy lunch and dinner recipes:)
Hugs from Sweeden:)
This is simply AMAZING!! As a college student who 1. can’t cook for her life and 2. has no time for it, it saved me this week from finals. I now have a guilt-free food to snack on during those long hours of studying, thanks!! Keep the food bites videos coming 🙂
Totally addicted to these! I bring them to work for my post-lunch treat and they’re perfect, plus they travel well. (Going to have to invest in new booty shorts though, all these awesome recipes and #DashingDecember workouts means my other ones are all too big now!)
Hi just made this with half a banana and half cup of rolled oats with added raisins, it made two good size cookies, how many calories would be in that approximately?! They taste great by the way 🙂
Between 200-250 total 🙂
How long do you oven it for? We don’t have a microwave.
“to oven” is my new favourite verb.
Thank you so much Cassey!! I just made these and they hit the spot!! Easy delicious healthy and the perfect breakfast cookie :)!!
do you think half a cup oats, 1 scoop protein powder and a banana would work?
what can I use instead of banana if I’m watching my sugar/carb intake? 🙂
There’s an awesome blogilates recipe for a Microwave Minute Muffin. 1/4 cup oats + 1 egg (whole or just whites). You can fruit or a sweetener to it if you want to.
I tried them but they were not really crunchy like cookies. Just soft and chewy…do I have to bake them even longer to get them crunchy?
Thanks! I’ve been looking for a good and healthy cookie for my middle school kids to make in class. We’ll give this a try!
I wonder if you added some protein powder and then changed shape, if they could also double as protein bars. Hmm…
These look so tasty! I think I might try making them for breakfast this week! Thanks Cassey!
I’ve been seeing this recipe everywhere! My favorite is subbing the banana with mango. Oh, and pumpkin! Love the cocoa nibs idea!
http://watching-what-i-eat.blogspot.com/2012/04/banana-oat-breakfast-cookies.html
looks like there are lots of ideas/variations here!
But personally, I like to just use protein powder + coconut oil + just enough water and making the most amazing chewy cookies in the microwave! I’m trying to lose weight so I’m watching the fructose, so this doesn’t require the banana and fits into my macros nicely. Great for workout recovery!
So I was craving something sweet, and checking my email when this recipe popped up… Logically I ran to the kitchen and made it right away. I added vanilla extract and apple pie spice (a premix- cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger… i think) because the oven was taking too long to preheat and I got bored. I have to admit, I was skeptical but they taste like “real” cookies… Great recipe, Thanks Cassey!
May I ask how much vanilla extract and spice?
I just found your blog a few days ago and I just love it! You are so motivational and bubbly! Already tried a few of your workouts, it’s not often that I can laugh so hard and still be in so much pain! Can’t wait to check out these cookies!
Wow what an awesome recipe! I’m going to try adding some whey protein to my recipe as well
hm, why don’t you try it with shredded apples or chopped persimmons instead of bananas? or any other fruit that’s not too watery. would certainly work, too 🙂
or apple sauce! or hokkaido or butternut squash! their texture is quite similar to that of bananas.
ooh i’m getting inventive now 🙂
hi emma, that post was actually meant in reply to yours.. i pressed the wrong button and it was posted as a new post… 🙂
What temp (and for how long) would you bake them in the oven at? I don’t have a mirowave… 🙂 They look awesome!
Can you taste the banana in these? Would absolutely love to try them but I’m not a huge fan of bananas 🙁
try using a mango!
I gave these cookies a try yesterday and they’re definitely delicious 🙂 And the healthy part is such a great bonus!
