WORKOUT DETAILS

Hey guys!

I quickly wanted to share with you another fun treadmill routine that my coach introduced to me! I’ve never side shuffled on a treadmill before and found it to really liven up my cardio experience. Give it a shot and tell me what you think! Just click on the image, save, print, and bring with you to the gym. Be sure to pin it if you like it!

I am headed to LA tomorrow (need to pack! arghhh!!!) and am currently in the process of uploading the new Neon Sweat Collection on shopblogilates.com. These will be available in just several hours. Working, working, working hard! A lot of the pieces are limited edition, so be sure to sweep it up when you get on the site!

That’s just a sneek peak…but there’s so much more!

I know you will love!

Take care…see you soon!

<3 Cassey

Do you guys know how many calories this burns ?

    1. Kim says:

It all depends on your heart rate, age, etc.

  2. Xin says:

Nice workout! But sadly the treadmill I own at home does not have a setting to incline… 🙁 can I still do it without incline? I know it would burn less calories but I have no other choice and doing something is still better than nothing right…? #ThinkPositive
    :p
    Thanks for the reply guys!

I was also wondering what shuffles were supposed to look like. I found this video on youtube : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xVEAhfZwXQ
    Hope it helps !

  4. Anna says:

I have been exploring for a little bit for any high
quality articles or blog posts on this sort of space .
Exploring in Yahoo I eventually stumbled upon this site.
Studying this information So i’m glad to show that I have an incredibly just right uncanny feeling I discovered just what I needed. I most undoubtedly will make sure to don?t disregard this site and give it a glance regularly.

Hey Cassey! I don’t actually understand how to shuffle/ what a shuffle is/ how to do so on a treadmill. Could you possibly give an explanation as to how to do this?

      Same here…

What’s inc? Do I have to do it? :s

    1. Lexi says:

It means ‘Incline’ which is a setting on the treadmill. Increasing the incline changes the slope and gives your muscles a good workout. It helps you burn more calories!

    2. Ely says:

      It means inclinaison 🙂

  8. Jennifer says:

Cassey!! Please make a HIIT workout for the elliptical and/or crosstrainer!! 🙂

neat but er… is there a way i can sub running or jogging? I would love to see a workout broken down for a jog/run interval or something. I don’t have a membership to a gym or a treadmill at home… bummer! any tips on how i can incorporate joggin/walking instead would be appreciated… (i do have a stepper! hey it’s ok if im stuck in 90s that thing works! :))

    Hey Cassey,

I will start again training inside at the gym because of the weather today (usualy I’m running outside and doing exercices inside). I’m more interested in the cardio part of the gym (because I have you at home! 😉 ) but I don’t like to use the treadmill. I do not have good knees and I’m really concern about not hurting them. I heard that running on the treadmill can be bad for the knee. So first of all, what do you think of that? And second, could you make a us a very nice (and hard) elliptical bike workout that I could fellow? I’m thinking about doing a pre-register program for today but it would be awesome if you could cook one for us!
    Have a great day
    xx,

    Amandine

Hello Cassey. I have been incorporating your workouts into my routines after discovering you on Tone It Up. (Shout out to TIU Babes!) I love your exuberance and variety, but most especially I love your treadmill workouts! I’m not one to comment on social media or post group texts, but I was compelled after completing your Shuffle-a-Truffle workout yesterday. I was so pleased I grabbed my iPhone during the cool down and texted my gals: “To my hot running girls: why is it when we feel the worst we have the best workouts?! All of you knew how crummy I was feeling today. Well, I just did this PHENOMENAL 45 HIIT workout and haven’t sweated like this in sometime so…I am compelled to share with you beauties! (Inserted your URL here).” Hope my introductions to you is appreciation enough. Thanks for being an inspiration! Now I just wish I could attend one of you classes as I live in the East Bay!

I did the treadmill workout with my sister yesterday and I loved it! I would love to see more cardio workouts like this!

Love your vids and your sunny disposition 🙂

  13. Ana says:

Have anyone tried to do this??? I cant picture it!!!

  14. Allie says:

I am so excited to try this workout!! I loved the treadmill shredmill and was super psyched when I saw a new treadmill workout. Can’t wait to get to the gym tonight!!! I agree with the poster above that walking sideways is hard to visualize…a quick video would be helpful. Thanks Cassey!

  15. oh yes!! I’ve tried kinda walking fast/jogging really slowly sideways on the treadmill and it made me tired! But in a good way. It’s just scary if I lose my balance, but it’s not too bad. 😛 And that grey shirt is really pretty! Ilike the little spotted heart.

  16. sam says:

oh my goddddd….I can’t choose which color sweater i want! ahhhh!

  17. ella says:

I’ve never been on the treadmill in the gym (though I like to go for a run outside). I think it’s because I’m afraid it could be embarassing, since I have larger boobs. Do you use the elliptical too? If no, why not? And if yes could you do somehting similar for the elliptical?

    1. B says:

Ella, I felt like this until last week. I’ll happily run outside but, on a treadmill I kept doing a ridiculously fast walk. I was walking at a speed that I could run at. I have huge breasts but I find a firm and supportive sports bra makes a world of difference. Yes, they are going to move- it’s inevitable. I also feel more comfortable on the elliptical but, you can do a bit more on a treadmill. You can do it! I started running on a treadmill in the middle of my workout. I thought ‘Why not just try?’ Go for it, Ella.

      1. ella says:

        you’re the nicest 🙂
        I will try next time.

  18. Rudi says:

Loved Treadmill Shreadmill and will definitly give this one a shot….any chance you could film you doing the side shuffle….I just cannot picture it! Thank you for being so inspirational!

love the workout, i’m always looking for new ways to prevent the treadmill from becoming a dreadmill. will def give this a try next time i’m doing a longer session. today i scheduled a sweaty-september-inspired workout though (hiit – strength – hiit) as today is HIITsday! 🙂

oh and i LOVE the neon highlighter pants, o.m.g. i love that they end mid-calf, perfect for not-so-cold-yet-not-so-warm-either days. will certainly head for your shop soon 🙂

oh and i just realized: next monday (22nd) will not only be the day that you release your bikini plan (yay!) but also the day my caramel bow tie bag will be shipped! aaaaah!!! can’t wait! will probably take a few days (or weeks?) to be delivered (i live in europe) but still, aaaah!!! 🙂

  20. Alyssa says:

You expect me to walk sideways on a treadmill at level six? Are you going for trip and die exercises? Lol

    1. blogilates says:

      no thats a jog there!

  21. Mikel says:

I wonder how people will look at me in the gym when I start walking sideways on the treadmill…

    1. laura says:

As many as will be looking at the rest of us, I suppose. I am going to try it once. Assuming I don’t fall off, I imagine most everyone looking will wonder what new fitness secret I have found:)

    2. Macey says:

That’s exactly what I thought, Mikel!! It’s sad that that’s the first thing that popped in my head!! LOL
