Move over, Reese’s and let these Protein Peanut Butter Cups replace you! Sugar-free with 5g protein, they might be better than the real thing!
One of Sam and I’s favorite things to do together is sample new treats! But when it comes to anything chocolate, Sam has to do the testing. So when it came time to test recipes for my protein cookbook, anything chocolate went to him.
I want to share one of his favorite recipes with you because I think you’re gonna love!
Protein Freezer Peanut Butter Cups.
Yep, these are like a healthier, frozen treat version of a Reese’s Cup (actually, Sam says they’re even better). Ugh, sometimes I wish I liked chocolate!
I can vouch for how easy these are to make! Then you just pop them in the freezer and you have a frozen treat waiting for you. Plus each one has 5 grams of protein!
Oh, and you can make these with white chocolate too! Try both and let me know what you think!
These are SO easy!
I recommend getting some silicone muffin cups to make these peanut butter cups. The frozen chocolate pops right out of them leaving no mess and uniformly shaped little candies.
Definitely get all-natural drippy peanut butter. The ingredients should just say nuts and salt. Alternatively, you could totally try almond or cashew butter!
I sweeten with monk fruit confectioners sweetener (instead of granular) for this recipe so that the inside is smooth without any crunch at all.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup drippy natural peanut butter
- 1 scoop Blogilates Sculpt + Debloat Sweet Cream Protein Powder
- 3 tbsp non-dairy milk
- 2 tbsp monk fruit confectioners sweetener
- 1 1/4 cups sugar-free chocolate chips
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- Pinch sea salt
Instructions
- Whisk together the peanut butter, protein powder, milk and sweetener in a medium bowl until you reach a dough consistency.
- Combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a separate bowl and microwave for about 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until smooth.
- Using 10 silicone muffin molds (or paper molds), spoon about 1 tablespoon of chocolate into the base of each, coating slightly up the sides.
- Take the peanut butter dough and roll into 10 balls, then flatten into disks the size of the base of the muffin cup. Gently press into the chocolate without pressing to the bottom.
- Cover each with remaining melted chocolate and sprinkle lightly with sea salt.
- Freeze for 1 hour. Thaw slightly before enjoying.
