HAPPY MONDAY POPsters!

Here is your new POP Challenge of the week! Can you HANDLE this ab and inner thigh routine the whole way through without stopping? It’s a burner! I promise you. Get motivated because Katy Perry is singing to us today! Click play and give me 4 minutes. Go.

Who watched the VMAs? Did you see all of the crazy and ummm interesting performances? Miley, her dancing teddy bear backpacks, her excessive tongue sticking out, and her twerkfest was def a scene to see…but it all went downhill when she took off her leotard to reveal a nude colored bra and panty – no but it didn’t stop there! Robin Thicke came out and they basically made babies.

Oh jeez.

I love my pop music, but this, this, is not what I wanted to see!

It was cool to see N*SYNC reunite but sadly it was only for a brief moment! And Daft Punk made an appearance and presented an award…all without talking! Oh and my dear Taylor Swift accepted an award for “I Knew You Were Trouble” and then graciously said thanks to the guy who broke her heart and helped her win this award. This of course is when the camera zooms in on Harry Styles – OUCH!

Oh speaking of Taylor, I went to go see her on Friday!!! It was such a fun concert and I also got to meet some of you guys there too!

Oh but not only did I see T-Swift…I got to…touch her leg. Yes, yes. It is truth!! In that brief moment when our worlds collided, I saw the light.

I felt so lucky that our seats were on the edge and in the actual aisle she paraded down! Yay! Who’s your fave artist and have you seen them in concert yet? Who do you wanna see? Lemme know so that perhaps I can use their song in an upcoming workout!

Oh and some healthy dessert inspiration for you…TRY THIS!!!

Freeze some banana coins. Then make a peanut butter sandwich. Seriously, it is so good you don’t even understand.

Alrighty have a FANTASTIC START TO YOUR WEEK! And remember. 8.28.13. It’s coming. On Thursday.

<3 Cassey

    Cassey,

So I really want to tell you that you are such an inspiration to me. All your workout videos are filled with such positive words and motivational advice. Lately I have been a little down with my body and I haven’t lost as much weight as I hoped to, but while I was doing your daily workout (from yesterday 8/26) you said that our happiness truly comes from within. We choose how we feel and if we want happiness, we need to feel that happiness and push ourselves to find that. No matter what state in life we are in. I’ve struggled with my weight for years and last summer I finally got to my lowest weight of 139lbs but when I went back to college I started to eat not so clean and my workouts were not happening as often. This summer I really wanted to lose the 20lbs I gained during the school year plus the extra few pounds I don’t want to carry. As much workout and clean eat I did, pounds were not shedding. Luckily I heard about your videos from one of Bubzbeauty videos and thought “why not check it out?” For a while it was difficult to maintain doing the videos everyday and I still felt really down, but for some reason this week I am really touched by your positive words in your videos. I realized that I can’t just expect results to come so quickly. Although I lost a lot of weight last summer, our bodies change and show results differently. Also if I truly want results, I need to continue my workouts and clean eating even during the school year. I still need to learn how to manage that while living on campus but if I keep with a positive mindset and determination, I think I can do it.

I just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for everything you do for us. Your words of motivation really hit the spot (in a good way) and almost brought me to tears. Yeah I know I seem so cheesy but I truly mean it. Sometimes I just need that reminder especially when I can get so caught up with just wanting to see results. I really love everything you do for us!!! During the school year I really want to continue with the daily blogilates workouts and my cardio workout as well.

Please continue doing amazing workouts with such inspirational words!!!!

    Take Care,
    Sandy

    Awesome feel powerful!

  10. Jasmine says:

My most favorite is Justin Bieber (no, I’m not 12. I’m 16) and I got to see him in March. I was soooo happy, seriously. When I got my tickets in September 2012, I literally started crying so hard. And I also cried that day several times (like 8 times…………). But I also want to see Drake, Demi Lovato and One Direction. 🙂
Please do a workout to Made in the USA or Best Song Ever!!

  11. I actually think T Swift is the cutest person ever – so jeals that you saw her live! Must have been fantastic!

  12. Super jealous you go to there! SO cool.
The PB Banana sandwich is epic. Epic, I say! 🙂

  13. I can’t believe you touched Taylor Swift! Soo jealouss

  14. Amber says:

Can you do a leg challenge on Radioactive by Imagine Dragons?

  15. Shelby says:

the 28th is wednesday, not thursday 🙂

  16. Melissa says:

Wow, the workout calendar was ROUGH today! I feel awesome now that I’ve done it though! I’m enjoying some vegan, clean chili with sriracha to celebrate! Thanks for another awesome work out Cassie! I’d love to see more inner thigh workouts!

  17. jackie says:

That was a super fun workout!!!! Thanks 🙂

  18. Melissa says:

Great new workout! Perfect for a total body warm up XD
I also love frozen banana, especially with nutella~

  19. Rebeca says:

awww iḿ here with you cassey I was thinkin the great nsync would be so much greater! but anyways i didnt watched the show live but I’m watching the higlights getting ready to do the challenge

  20. Anja says:

What the hell, I just watched the performance and I’m usually not really like easily offended or anything but that was too much… Sure, sex sells (sadly) but come on, dry humping on stage, is it really necessary?

  21. Amy says:

I will love you forever if you do one or multiple WO vids to anything by Down With Webster. 😉

  22. That’s my favorite! Frozen bananas with peanut butter. 🙂

  23. Robyn says:

Hey Cassey! I just watched the VMA clip of Miley Cyrus’ performance and totally agree with you- not what I want to see. She basically turned stripper meets Queen. I don’t know- not workin’ for me. Maybe she’s trying too hard to differentiate herself from her country-music roots. I much preferred Katy Perry’s performance. Fun to watch, but not obscene. Am about to do the challenge and excited! Will let you know how it goes!

  24. Emilee says:

I think this just might be the most fun POP pilates workout yet! I was smiling the whole time. Gonna go do it again!

  25. Chrissy says:

I love Megan and Liz both their covers and originals are amazing. For the next Pop Challenge you should use Slow Down by Selena Gomez, you could do a lot of things to the different tempos.

    1. Vanessa says:

Yeah, I love this song. “Slow down” is the perfect workout song. And Megan & Liz are just amazing! Love them and her covers so much.

  26. Sarah says:

It’s interesting that you would post about this today, Cassey, as I’ve been thinking a lot about POP culture and how it influences our society – especially our generation and the next one. I’m highly concerned about songs like Blurred Lines and the message it brings across, not to mention the very disturbing music video! (Shouldn’t everyone be treated (and treat themselves!) with more decency and respect than that? I was shocked and I just watched the “Teens React” version – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fo1kvlRjTs )

It seems like every day there is something else on the news about a young person taking advantage of someone and even taking someone’s life. Is that what some of these songs are advocating? Are the immoral lyrics in some of these songs ( I know not all pop songs have immoral lyrics, nor is it limited to pop songs.) causing the moral decline of our society?

I’m worried about this and I’d like to know your thoughts, Popsters! What’s your reaction to songs like Blurred Lines?

  27. Erin says:

Little Big Town hands down! If you ever feel like doing a country inspired workout (which I would totally be down for) they have some really great upbeat songs. And if you feel like checking them out live I definitely recommend it. I’ve seen them several times and been lucky enough to meet them a couple times. They are so talented and entertaining and so wonderful to their fans. LBT shows are just fun. Plain and simple rockin’ country fun.

  28. Nicole says:

I absolutely LOVE All Time Low!! Whenever I’m in a bad mood their songs cheer me up. I’ve seen them 2x and can’t wait to see them again!!! You should totally use one of their songs in a workout, too!!

  29. Tanja says:

    Hei hei!
You are soo beautiful and I love your videos and your website!
Can you make more low-carb receips for things I can take with me to school and which are very easy to do?
    I would be veeeery happy!

PS. your beach-edition is amazing, very beautiful videos!

    Greeting from Cologne!
    Tanja

  30. Jacqueline says:

First day of high school today and two times of this video and a walk was the perfect way to kick start the day!!<3<3 haha that rhymed.

  31. Vanessa says:

    Great workout. I loved it!
My fave artist is Demi Lovato, but I haven’t seen her yet 🙁 I would do almost everything to make my dream to meet her come true. Really everything! Unhappily my parents don’t allow me to go to a concert.
Please make an Demi Lovato Workout with her song “Heart Attack”!!! Or an other song. I love all her songs.
