Hips, Butt, Thighs & Internet Lies…SCANDAL ALERT!

WORKOUT DETAILS

Hey guys!

HAPPY MONDAY!!! Do my Americans have the day off? Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day! Just got back from teaching my second to last Sundance Pilates class. It was so wonderful to see you guys there!

popsters in utahSuch spectacular energy and good vibes. Thank you for making my early mornings so cheerful. I seriously LOOOOVEEEE meeting you guys in person. Last class is tomorrow 7:30am-8:30am at the YouTube House, 596 Main Street in Park City, Utah. Come if you can! It’s free.

Also! Here is your new workout!!! This one is fun – I turned the music up and stuck to some good, classic, and intense POP Pilates moves that will shape your lower body nicely. Print out the printable to take with you when you’re not by the computer. I’ve seen some POPsters creating lovely binders of printables. Being organized is a sign of a clean lifestyle inside and out! Now here’s the video…do it with me!

And now to a kinda bitter subject.

I want you guys to be REALLY CAREFUL with who you’re dealing with on the internet. You never know who is behind that screen – it simply acts as a mask. Anybody can pretend to be ANYBODY and if you’re not pay attention you can get tricked or bullied very easily.

I sent out a newsletter a few weeks ago alerting you of the Blogilates Crime Report and unfortunately, I have some news that I just need to get out here on my blog so that I can prevent other people and companies from being taken advantage of. Including me.

Several companies have been approached by some fake person named “Taylor” in Peabody, Massachusetts who has been impersonating me from the email blogilatestv@gmail.com which is NOT my email. My real emails are blogilates@gmail.com for business and POPsterPost@gmail.com for fan mail. She or he has been telling these companies that she’ll review their stuff if they send her free gifts. Then after they send it (sometimes hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of gifts), she goes quiet and I end up receiving emails from upset and confused companies that were expecting a full blown out post on my blog. Not very pleasant for either party is it?

I usually don’t like to bog you guys down with business-y, non-fitness related or somber information, but I think it’s really important that you protect your identity and truly WATCH who you’re dealing with. And especially for those of you who want to start blogs one day, you need to be aware that anyone can be anyone and some people don’t give a care who they’re hurting. As long as they get what they want, they’re done.

What kind of life is that? To steal someone else’s hard work and fool people. It’s robbery and it’s a crime. We are all put on this earth to contribute something special to one another’s lives. Each and everyone of us has a talent and we must nurture it, work on it, and use it help benefit others. Stealing is not ok in any shape or form. Never in my life could I ever EVEN THINK of doing something to abuse someone. Does that make anyone feel good? Really??

I’ve been robbed before and it’s freaking scary. I hate it. I hate that someone can take your possessions and invade your home and make you feel afraid. Powerless. This is the same thing. Except it’s my reputation and good will that’s on the line. I will not let anyone mess with that. “Taylor” I am warning you to get out of my house.

Below is a email thread between imposter “Taylor” and “Company X” which I will keep private for their security and protection. I am posting this because I want you to know how manipulative people can be…and how easy it is to get tricked.

Hi Person X,

I’m definitely interested in reviewing items from the collections you sent me! I would love to make a gift guide or lookbook for the holidays. I really like the items in the Fall 2013 collection. I also have interest in reviewing clothing – I found a lot of great pieces on the website. I look forward to working with you! 🙂

Thanks,

Hi Cassey,

No problem at all! That’s great you’re interested in featuring a variety of the items of your gift guide/look book for the holidays. We could definitely coordinate some of their yoga clothing as well if you’re also interested in that. Once you go through everything and determine what will work best, just let me know and I can let you know what we’re able to coordinate samples of.

Thanks,

Person

Oh my gosh, that’s horrible!!! Those poor companies!!! This person is just racking up the free stuff and these companies are losing on tons of money to where they might even have to lay some people off just because of ONE selfish person!!! That’s the worst =( But you’re also totally right…. It’s not even in your NATURE to go around asking for free stuff!! Hopefully “Taylor” will get caught and justice will be served. Stay true to yourself, Cassey!!!! Us POPsters got your back all the way!!!!!

  3. Veronica says:

Cassey, I loved how the reps were in time with the music! It helps me get it the groove. Other times it has sometimes felt awkward fighting the beat. Thank you!

Cassey, Im so sorry to hear. Identify theft At ajustes capacita is such a disgrace. One feels abusen when ones privacy is violated.. I’m glad they you were able to nip it in the bud before further damage was made. Thanks God for that, god always protects good grafted and genuine individuals as you. May God continue to bless and protect your beautiful journey! My respects and admiration for such an inspirational young lady like you! 🙂

  10. mrs_ewils says:

Thats so awful! So sorry to hear Cassey! Hope it doesn’t happen again.
One of my girlfriends brother met his wife on instagram. He is Aussie and she is American. They had their wedding in USA. Previously to the wedding someone posed as the Ellen DeGeneres show called and said they would pay for his flights for him to USA, put $20K into the wedding and have U2 perform a couple sounds at their wedding. Whoever it was organise a fake crew to go over and interview them to do a story on the show and everything. My girlfriends brother contact the Ellen Show about some more information, they and not heard of either of them. Massive scam. So awful!
People need to learn how to use their time!

  11. Katherine says:

On the positive note : love the new video. I’ve loved watching your video quality change since I’ve been doing your workout – the progress you have many is truly astonishing.

I’m sad to hear someone could do this to such a positive inspiring person. I’m glad you took it as a chance to shed light on the scary part of the web. You’re an amazing role model.

  12. Jamie says:

UGH that is TERRIBLE. So terrible. I’ve seen it happen in my blogging space twice. I review books (so not anything near the $$ of the stuff they requested) and there were two instances where someone faked being a popular blogger and asked for a shit ton of books to review and committed to do all these things for the publisher and eventually, because one smart publicist who had worked with her before knew it wasn’t the right address, they figured out this was happening and apparently it was multiple publishers she was contacting. Could have really made that blogger look really bad to be a flake like that.

Hope you are able to sort this all out. Such a shame because you are a kind and generous person who inspires a lot of people and does A LOT for this community. :/ There’s gotta be a way to figure out who she really is and bring her down! I mean, that’s a lot of merch!

  13. Sarah says:

    Miss Cassey,

What I find even more of a slap in the face, is that this “Taylor” is probably one of your POPsters. This person enjoyed your generosity in providing free workout videos and then decided to scam your identity and scavenge on your reputation. I just wanted to take the opportunity along with all the other wonderful people here to congratulate you on how far you have come and thank you for all your hard work on our behalf.

  14. Sara C says:

So sorry this happened to you Cassey! I’m a ballet dancer/choreographer and I’ve had my original choreography ripped off and the dance company as a whole has had a problem before where a women in the administration building was giving companies we buy supplies from her shipping address instead of the company’s and selling the stuff online. It was 43,000 U.S. dollars worth of equipment and supplies! I hope this isn’t what “Taylor” is doing under your name. You should definitely keep standing up for yourself and protecting your reputation. All your POPsters are behind you on this one!

    1. blogilates says:

      OMG that is so horrendous!!

  15. Elly L. says:

Hi there, Just wanted to thank you for your website and all of the free awesome exercise vids you put out. Your motivation and devotion to fitness has inspired me to get off my butt and lose the baby weight. In fact, I’m currently on your Jan dietbet and it’s working great 🙂

As to this person stealing your identity. I am currently going through an ugly divorce and am dealing with a very vindictive and aggressive ex. I constantly feel like I’m swimming upstream fighting to maintain my integrity and not let my life and light be brought down by these assaults on my character. I think the fact that you are now so popular puts you at a much greater risk for evil people out to take something with no regard for what’s right. Please know that your light is felt and your blog is a blessing for those who are interested in getting their lives on track by gaining control of their bodies and food issues. There will be distractions out there to make you question your purpose but know that the bulk of people following you are grateful, appreciative and respectful of your efforts. Thank you and don’t be derailed by the a**holes!

  16. Sarah says:

This is so awful Cassie. I hope you can do something about it! But on the positive side of things, it is nearly the end of the month; which means the beginning of another. Another workout calendar, YIPPEE!!!!

  17. Zuzanna says:

Oh, It’s so sad that people can be so rude! On the other way, i know a girl who’s face were used as a advertisement without her permission. Unfortunately this became so popular procedure in the era of internet..

  18. Madeline says:

That is so scary! Is there any legal action you can take? If the company had a mailing address, wouldn’t they be able to track down the person who claimed to be you?

  19. Christine says:

It’s amazing to me how some people have no shame..nor guilt, for that matter. Makes me sick.
Cassey, this post was so inspiring – you are an amazing human being and the last person to deserve this (not that anyone does). I’m so sorry you’re being put through this garbage. Just know we’re all on your side. I’m eternally grateful for all you do and all you’ve done to change my life. xx

  20. Maja says:

Oh Cassey, that is soooo awful! God, people really are terrible sometimes. You should really consider getting some legal backup. I hope everything works out!

  21. Anne says:

I think this is terrible. But I’ve got to say, it’s not unusual for this stuff to happen, it happens all the time now. But there has to be more involved. Any legit marketing experience tells you how much is involved for a company to give out any “free” products for endorsement. Especially “thousands of dollars” worth. It’s not just random emails between PR assistants. There are usual multiple privacy contracts involved between both parties, even where “gifts” are concerned there are mile long legal disclaimers. Even a little “mom and pop” company doesn’t usually just send out $$$$ worth of products on a whim. Something else is going here and I would say it involves more then just one “Taylor” ……. Be careful Cassey. You’re in the big leagues now and has horrible as this may sounds: from a legal standpoint you need to start buffing up your legal backing. This won’t be the last time this happens.

      1. lynne says:

(Hi Cassey – I know you mentioned removing company/contact name for privacy but wanted to share that a quick google search of the items leads you right to that company. Obviously this post has been up for a while so you may already know but just wanted to let you know just in case! Wasn’t sure how much anonymity you wanted to give the company. Best of luck with resolving this horrenous issue! Such a sucky situation to be in.)

    1. Lee says:

I also agree. There is definitely more to the story (which, you may or may not already be aware of).

By the way, in the last little segment of the email conversations, did you forget to annonymize the person’s name? A name is there instead of just “Person”

  22. Jessica says:

I would love a new arm workout with weights!!

  23. That is absolutely terrible! I am so sorry that happened to you! Thank you for sharing for those of us in the blogging community to look out for this kind of stuff. All you’re trying to do is put yourself out there and help others and people take advantage of that. Disgusting.

On a positive note, I love the workout you posted! Thanks for sharing!

  24. Samantha says:

Cassey is so well spoken, passionate and genuine. Pair that with her intelligence, ambition, work ethic, positive outlook and ability to handle conflict…….Cassey run for President!!!!! <3

    1. Devanshi says:

      I agree!! haha

  25. Veronica says:

This is unbelievable. How can one person do that? These things make you sad because you realize how silly people can be. WHAT WAS SHE/HE TRYING TO DO ? I MEAN, THIS IS ILLEGAL, SHE/HE DIDN’T THINK ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES ? The truth always comes to the surface.
Cassey, I’m very sorry for you 🙁 I really hope you can find this person and stop his/her behavior.
I’d like to know the reasons of all this… I strive to find a good motivation but I can’t… Maybe ENVY? THAT’S NOT ENOUGH.

AND I’M SO IN LOVE WITH THE NEW WORKOUT, YESTERDAY I DID IT AND OMG IT WAS FUN BUT INTENSE!! I LOVE YOUR SMILE AND YOUR POSITIVE ENERGY:)
    KISSES FROM ITALY 🙂

  26. Lynn says:

I’m glad you found out about this Taylor person. I hope this person stops. These people can really destroy your reputation. I’m so sorry you have to go through this Cassey! We love you and thanks for the workout printable! I love those!!

  27. Juli says:

So unfair! You do a lot of things for us, videos, diet plans, workout calendars! And for free! Your reputation is still intact cassey! but this person must stop!

  28. Jess says:

The worst feeling is when someone steals something you work hard to achieve! Hope this “taylor” stops its tricks!

  29. Hadiza says:

I’m glad you found out on time before this crazy person totally ruined your reputation with their greed. The first time I started following you, I found @blogilates and @BlogilatesTV on youtube too. If that’s also you, maybe you should take down everything that says @Blogilatestv especially since you are not using it anymore. And please, can you report this Taylor person to the police? You have proof now and her address too. We want Blogilates around forever. Lol! <3

  30. Suzanne says:

OMG!!!! You have to sink really low as a person to be like that. It’s unbelievable that people can be so greedy, that they would abuse someones reputation.

On a side note, Cassey, If a person were to google the items mentioned in the last email, they are probably still able to get the identity of the company that has been mislead. So my advice is to cut out or ‘bleep’ the identifiying parts of the items, to ensure the privacy of the company as much as possible.

  31. Simona says:

OMG, I thought that “Taylor” would stop after the first post about this problem! That’s such a shame to steal somebody’s identity. I hate it. Also here in Ro are some sites that post Kenna Shell’s (fb: goodbye fat, hello muscle) before-after pics to trick people and to make them buy the “amazing diet she follows”.
I once wrote on their fb and told that’s a lie, that I know eactly how that girl lost weight and they didn’t let me post any comments on their page. Shameless!

  32. Jackie says:

I dont understand why Bad things always happen to Good people. I really hope you catch this scammer Cassey ! Your POPsters are and will stand behind you 100% because we love you so much! and those of us who love and care about you just know that your such a genuine, honest and kind person ! Keep smiling Cassey things will work out (: <3
Ps. When you catch this crook their punishment should be they have to do the 100 Burpee Burnout 10 times over LOL .

  33. Sarah says:

Thank you for sharing this Cassey. I think it’s good that you share important information along with fitness updates. You’re a role model for young entrepreneurs and it helps to see that everybody has to deal with difficult situations/setbacks. I hope this “Taylor” person is brought to justice for all the grief, stress, and disappointment she’s caused. Maybe keep us filled in? I know you like to try to always keep.things positive but it is always interesting to see what happens behind the scenes, the good and the bad. Keep staying positive Cassey! You inspire all of us!

    1. Lydia says:

Agree with everything you said but you said it better :p

  34. katie says:

Hey Cassey, I am new to blogilates but I have been lifting heavy weights for the past year. I honestly have gotten to a point where i feel that i look too muscular and I want to change up my fitness routine by trying pilates! what i wanted to ask you is, my back has gotten pretty broad from weight training. if i eat right, do cardio, and do pilates, will my back narrow out since I’m not lifting as heavy anymore? or will it stay the same? thanks!

  35. Alice says:

Why do people do such things? Hope all is well Cassey and those fake people get punished!!!

  36. chris says:

Arseholes like that have a terror for others, especially one as wonderful and successful as you Cassey! Flourish and prosper!

  37. Kate says:

What a terrible thing to happen- but not surprising in this world we live in now…one idea to try to beat these people- why not set up an email address that connects to your website ie cassey@blogilates.org
Then there could be no confusion it’s coming from you or not! The companies could then check it on your website too. 🙂

    1. Alex says:

      That’s a great idea!

      1. Lucy says:

        I agree!

  38. gabby says:

That is just sick. You worked very hard to build yourself up. Not only that but your website and your product line. And this person thinks its ok to steal your identity to obtain free products. I pray this gets sloced and the person(s) involed will be punished. Its not fair to you that you have to suffer while they get to enjoy the things they basicly stole.

  39. Rowan says:

OH MY GOOOD, how scary! That ‘Taylor’ person truly is shameless! Thank your for sharing this with us and warning us 😀

    Love,

Awful this happened to you 🙁 Hopefully there will be consequences for her! I don’t understand how people can live lying and cheating like that

    http://skinnyminisakurina.blogspot.nl

  42. Laura says:

    Hi Cassey,
I think you should register your email under your domain name to make it clear to everyone that to communicate with you, they need to contact “cassey@blogilates.com” or something similar. Since you have a gmail account, it makes it easier for people to assume it would be you they are talking to, even though it isn’t and anyone can make a gmail account. Just a suggestion!!

    1. Ana says:

Hey, your suggestion is very good!!! And I think Cassey should get a good lawyer too!

  43. no_aloha says:

We’re all behind you, Cassey. I think many of us are firm believers in independent media-makers like you, and you need all the support you can get. What you do it so important! I really hope you got some good legal counsel to protect your rights.

  44. Ah!! That is so terrible! Why anyone would want to do that to people I will never know! That person is stealing from you and the companies that she/he is hitting up! How totally icky!! I am so sorry that happened to you!!

However, LOVE the new video!! Keep on keeping on! Hopefully this fake person is done with their scams after being called out!

  45. Kat says:

As much as I’d like to say it’s the companies’ own fault not doing proper research whom they send their stuff, it’s awful that your name gets drawn into this and in the end you have the trouble.
No but seriously, how could a company not double check everything? Then they would have found out it’s clearly not the person behind this website who’s shamelessly inquiring huge amounts of free stuff.
I hope you and/or the companies can pull up lawsuit, because this person needs to be sentenced for their crime.

As, I CANNOT understand how someone is able to do this sh*t to such a beautiful person like you, Cassie. You provide us with highest qualitiy work outs, advice and your happiness – for free, goddammit. How dare one to harm you like this. I have no words for how furious I am. All you deserve is love. Stupid people, bah. 🙁

  46. Erin says:

That person is awful for doing this! The weirdest part is that I live in the next town over from Peabody, Massachusetts. It’s scary to think that someone so nearby is doing something illegal like this. My friends in that town could even know that person and have no idea about what this ‘Taylor’ girl is doing. I’ve had people take my pictures too and claim them as their own. It’s really unsettling.

  47. Julia says:

If I was you, I’d definitely get a lawyer and get the police involved. You have every right to protect yourself.

    1. Shawna F says:

YES. I completely agree with this post. This person needs to be taught a lesson in law & ethics. I hope you’re following through on this, Cassey!

  48. Renae says:

Just letting you know- you left the person this cow, Taylor was contacting’s name in the last bit of the email thread- you omitted their name everywhere else-so just thought you’d like to know.

  49. Medallion says:

Cassey I’m so sorry to hear about this unfortunate incident. Best of wishes to you! It’ll work out soon!

  50. Kathy says:

You (or at least these companies) have “Taylor’s” address now, right? Find out who it is and report them!

Real Cassey, you are awesome. It’s unfortunate that people in the world aren’t able to create their own success and need to steal from others! Keep doing what you’re doing, real POPsters will always support you!

  51. man that’s just disgusting, sorry that happened to you.

  52. Kylie says:

It’s so upsetting that somebody’s trying to use your hard work for their benefit. 🙁 I will say though that I”m slightly disappointed in the companies that didn’t question why they were shipping stuff to “Taylor” for privacy reasons. I just feel like alarms should have gone off.
But oh well, they got ripped off and you got hurt, it’s idiotic. I hope things shape up!

  53. Jennie says:

This is terrible! I hope this person gets caught and is made to publicly apologies to all involved! I’m a photographer and I’ve had my photos stolen and used without my permission! I hope things get better Cassey!

  54. Kara Mullaly says:

Wow, this just stinks. Im sorry!! I hope it dose not happen again!

  55. Krystal Shea says:

This is so disturbing why must others sabotage people because they are successful ?? It’s purely disgusting !! We know it won’t get you down your amazing! Thanks for all you do! <3 krystal

  56. Nanci De La Torre says:

OMG! How dare they! I’m sorry you have to go through this hun!
“Taylor’s” lies are catching up to them, and it will not end pretty for them.

Wish you the best Cassey! Much love. 🙂 <3

  57. Colleen says:

It’s sad that people like this can do this and destroy your reputation and your company you have built yourself. I know as a POPster I am behind you 100% and I am sure other POPsters are as well. Thank you for providing free workouts and helping all of us!

  58. So disgusting that someone would do that… I recently found out that my before & after photos are being used without my permission as advertising for diet pills. It’s so upsetting that people could do these things. the internet is a great and awful place at the same time… I hope that you and the brands that were affected by this worked things out!

    1. blogilates says:

OMG are you serious? Did you contact them? Send a cease and desist! That’s SOOOO ILLEGAL!!!

    2. s6milerun says:

I feel sorry for the two of you. As if there is not enough to accomplish in a day. Lately, it seems like hacking and theft is a growing threat. Who would have guessed that a simple Target purchase would land me (many of us) on a list consumers whose whole identity is now compromised. Hopefully, technology will have smarter safeguards. In the meantime, living in a dense forest somewhere does not seem like a totally bad idea.
