Blue Spirulina Keto-Paleo Pancake Recipe

Hey guys!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!! Wow, can you believe we made it to 2021?!!! I feel like we always imagined 2020 would be a landmark year and it definitely was… maybe not in the way we could have ever imagined, but it will be memorable for sure. I love the new year because it really does feel like a fresh start. Even though every single day is an opportunity to start fresh, January 1st just feels so crisp and clean.

My favorite thing to do on the first day of the new year is doing something new. This year, I’ll probably be baking some new recipes so if you want to join me in spirit, this recipe is PERFECT!

Everything in this pancake recipe is pretty standard, but there is one ingredient that will make them feel a lil’ more fancy. It’s called… blue spirulina.

If you’ve never heard, blue spirulina is an extract of spirulina and has a good source of protein, Vitamin B and other minerals. It’s a powder that can be added into your foods and makes it look super dreamy and just so happens to be extremely nutrient-dense. This superfood on its own can have a strong taste, so it’s recommended to mix this in with other ingredients to make it palatable.

This recipe calls for adding a little more each time you make one of the pancakes to achieve that gradient color! I actually recommend starting really, really light to see how you like it and then going from there. Blue spirulina is definitely a “less is more” kinda thing!

This keto & paleo recipe is also 90 Day Journey friendly! It’s a triple win!

OKAY – are you ready?!!!

This ice cream recipe sounds so delicious and easy so we are definitely going to try it today and it turns out we have bananas at home and are we are literally going to the supermarket to buy some products to make some REAL FOOD and not junk food and on our grocery list we already needed to buy mangos! So this works out PERFECTLY. I am loving this #21DayToneChallenge so much it really gets me moving around and my blood pumping! And I love all your videos so much and I try to do a lot of them plus the video for the 21-day tone challenge because they are just so fun. Even when the weather is bad and I can’t go anywhere I can still do your videos!!! And your 30-minute stretch routine for splits helped me get super close to the ground so I probably need 1 more day or intense workouts and stretching and I will be down into my splits!!! So thank you for everything Cassey I love your channel. And can you do more challenges after this one ends? Not only for like the beginning of the year but maybe even every month and I know that would be A LOT OF EXTRA WORK for you but I think that would be so much FUN!!!! And on your app, I have like 53 favorite videos and I plan to do them all obviously not all in one day because if I did do them all in a day I would probably be too sore to move around or even talk!!!😆😆 And like BABYDOUBLEJ said I am RAMBLING too much so I need to stop. So a fantastic week Cassey and anyone and everyone who reads this comment!!! Hugs and kisses people!!! PEACE OUT ✌️

I made these without the blue spirulina today and they are so delicious! I couldn’t stop myself from devouring them 😛 Do you have nutritional information for this recipe? How many servings it makes, etc.? Thanks!

Hi Cassey, how can I make it vegan? Adding flax seeds?

    1. Susie says:

1 tbsp flax seed and 2 tbsp water is equivalent to one egg so double that for this recipe. It will bind perfectly!! No need for animal cruelty <3
