The 30 Day Water Challenge
Hey guys!
OMG. The wedding is a little over ONE MONTH! Ahhhhhhjkshfksdgkjsdlk!!!!! I can’t believe it’s already almost here after a year of planning and I am SO excited that I’m closer to being able to share everything with you guys! Too. Many. Secrets. Cannot. Contain.
Eeeeeeeeeee!
So, for the most part, I’ve been eating well and exercising, but there’s one more thing I truly need to focus on: my skin!
There are a bajillion articles on the internet about how drinking a lot of water will make your skin all soft and glowy. But the real question is… how much is “a lot”?!?! Well, according to WebMD, we should be drinking at least half our weight in fluid ounces of water every single day. So if you’re 150 lbs that means you’ll need to drink at least 75 fl oz of water a day.
Can I do it? Can I drink at least 64 fl oz of water every single day?
Hmmmm well I bet I can if I turn it into an official challenge!!
#30DayWaterChallenge Rules:
#1. Calculate how much water you need to drink by taking your body weight in pounds and dividing it by 2. Whatever number you get is the fluid ounces you’ll need to drink daily.
#2. Take a Before picture of your face on Sept 1.
#3. Print out the “30 Day Water Challenge” printable to help you keep track of your water intake. Post on Instagram or Facebook and encourage your friends to join in! #30daywaterchallenge
#4. Print out the “30 Days of Detox Water” printable for healthy flavored water recipes. Post on Instagram or Facebook and encourage your friends to join in! #30daywaterchallenge#5. Designate a water bottle for the challenge. I highly recommend the Timer Bottle! Drink 2 of these a day and you’re at 64 fl oz exactly!
#6. The #30DayChallenge begins on Sept 1 and ends Sept 30. You will drink at least half your body in fl oz every single day.
#7. Take an After picture on Sept 30. Post your before and after results! #30daywaterchallenge

What is everyone doing with the fruit AFTER they’ve infused their water? I’d love some tips on being more efficient with food/waste and money 🙂
I’m curious what other people are doing with the fruit after finishing their water?
I’m finding a can refill my water and get second bottle of detox/flavoured water, which is great, but then I am throwing the “used” fruit out afterwards. Has anyone tried eating the leftover fruit or using it another way (like in smoothies)? I’d like tips on being more efficient with my money and waste 😀

I wish your printable had an option to add more waterbottles, as I’m suppose to drink 10, so colouring it in wouldn’t help me get all the water I am suppose too.

hey i want to start this challenge but i’m unsure how to measure how much should i take (water) in a day. Im 90 kg, means I need to drink something around 3 liters a day? Sorry, need a bit of help here
You take your weight in lbs divided by 2 and thats the number of ounces you should drink.

It helps that 1. I already do this because 2. I drink my tea plain (I put a smidgen of milk in my coffee, so not counting that. Plus, the caffeine dehydrates, while my tea is decaffeinated).
But maybe I’ll work on drinking more plain water throughout the month 🙂
The only thing im worries about is how much I’ll need to drink.
Im significantly overweight… And the amount I’ll need to drink is astronomical…. But I’m going to try my hardest
You can do it Mary. I am overweight myself. I drink 169 ounces of water a day. I get up at 4 for work. I drink (2) 16.9 ounces when I first hit the floor. Then after I shower on the way to work I drink another one. By 7 I have had 3 already. You can do it.

So I’m really confused about how much water I need to drink 😅 my weight is 68 kg, divided 2 is 34 kg, do I have to drink 34 litres of water?! 😂😂 (anyway I’ve stared this challenge months ago and I can reach 2,5/3 litres of water per day ☺️, I’m not sure about 34!!)

If you already drink enough then you don’t need to do the challenge. There is no benefit in drinking too much water.

I been working on my water drinking, I downloaded an app called Gulp it is a water reminder it also tells you how much to drink based on your weight. I love the reminder alarms to remind me to drink.

I did this 4 years ago and it helped me quit smoking. It was great! I’ve been wanting to do it agin for my health… but been going through too much stress- I was diagnosed with 14 benign brain tumors my husband left me and then my mom died. But at least I didn’t start smoking again! Time for self care and hydrating… maybe I’ll even start my sit-ups again! Thankyou for your inspiration! It is much needed and appreciated.
I just want to encourage you. You can do this. God is able to do abundantly above all we can ask or think. Trust God he is a healer. Yes by all means start drinking your water again. It helps me mentally. Yes I am doing it for my health also. Dont give up you can do it. I hope this helps.

On day 21 on the detox water chart there is a minor mistake the recipe indicates its kiwi+strawberry+mint but the image shows a cucumber instead of a mint regardless i’m so in for this challenge.

How does that relate to kilograms and litres? Surely it can’t be a half…
Google it! In my case, I weight 130 pounds which is about 59 kilograms. Divide it by half, which means I have to drink at least 65 oz of water. 65 oz is 1,85 litres of water.
Drinking water is one of the biggest struggles I have! It’s just so hard. I tried doing this challange a few times but always failed halfway through. Hopefully this time, it wont be like that! I’m in <3 bring it on!
