Luckily enough for me I’m surrounded my mangoes anywhere I go in my country
I envy you sooo much as I haven’t even tasted a real mango in my life… ever lol
Mangos in Australia are like $3 at the moment and that’s cheap! they’re usually like $5 per mango! It’s crazy ): think I’m going to grow my own damn mangoes haha
Couldn’t sadly agree more, I wish I could grow my own mangos!
$2 per kilo in my place in the philippines
in Australia the majority of these items are cheap and work well for dieter on budget. Thanks for the tips Cassey.
I wish food was this cheap in Australia! Does anyone else find one of the HARDEST things about being healthy is how expensive the food is? Especially because a lot of the recipes require such abstract ingredients. If anybody finds cheap clean recipes drop me a message and I can send you my favourite recipes too!
Yes! I spend so much money when I try to eat clean! and finding some of the obscure items can be seriously tough!
Nice to see another Aussie on here!
I agree – I can’t use the recipes on the site (Cassey I love you – but your recipes are so inaccessible in Europe)
I’m all about being seasonal – and using organic produce grown within your own country. My advice is follow the seasons – see what is cheaper priced in the stores – check out open markets if you have them and build your menu around it. Right now it’s fall – and I’m all into squashes and mushrooms these day!
For me, buying BLUEBERRIES or STRAWBERRIES in winter is just maddess – no matter how healthy they are. Peanut butter is never on my shopping list because it costs a FORTUNE. Also – protein powders and artificial flavours are a NO GO for me. Finally, when I am getting my body in shape – why would I want to put unnatural chemicals or products in it?
Just some thought – and thanks for letting me blow off some steam! Hope you find a solution right for you!
My issue with “Cheap Clean Eats” is that you list the price “per serving”. Uh, you can’t buy ingredients like that, you have to buy the entire thing. So it’s not actually cheap.
I wish food was so cheap here. Mango price starts at 4x the amount and 1 medium sweet potato costs around 5x the serving…
I agree. I live in Europe and most of these are WAAAY more expensive!
Where I live mandos are basically free!!
That is so lucky. I wish mangos were 50c each here.
