Hi POPsters!!!

By now you should have all tried the HIITilates series (watch videos here), but here is a printable for you to take with you to the gym in case you don’t have your phone or wifi connection! I’ll make sure you have the whole collection soon!

This weekend I spent some time with another fitness fanatic friend of mine and we had such a fab time working out together! We ran 2 miles down to the beach, did a workout and killed out arms and back, then ran 2 miles back.

You know what made it special though?

It wasn’t just any run. It was a “FUN RUN”.

Do you know what that means?

Here’s how to schedule your own FUN RUN:

1. Grab a friend who has a similar taste in music and runs at or around your pace

2. Create the same playlist. I made one called “Pumped Up Love Songs” and then shared it with my friend on Spotify. Make sure you’re both NOT ON SHUFFLE! Keep it in order.

3. Then stick your headphones in and press play at the same time. It’s like running together, but separately! You can lip sync at the same time!

OK so here’s the cool part.

4. Every time you hear the chorus, you have to stop wherever you are and just dance. Like yeah, just dance on the street. The harder and funnier and geekier you dance, the better. Chorus over? Keep running.

5. If you’re crazy advanced, try dancing AND RUNNING at the same time. (I nearly died because I couldn’t breathe from the ridiculous cardio…and from laughing)

Yup!! So give that a try! I had such a blast and I know you will too! Let me know what songs are def making it on your FUN RUN playlist and take pics!! We felt like iPod commercials because we were going ALL OUT on the streets.

Don’t be scared. No one cares that you’re just dancing randomly. In fact, you may just make their day a little brighter 🙂

Have a wonderful Monday and start to your week! Love you!

<3 Cassey

    Cassey,

Have you ever heard of whole30? It a great jump start way to eat super clean. I started Monday but its not easy and you have to come up with a lot of recipes. You should try a whole30 as well and blog about it, I need more support!!

    Thanks!

  7. Carly says:

Hey Cassey, can you do a tabata work out vid? xx

  8. Krista says:

I would love it if you put up some stretches to do on a daily basis. After a couple of days at this, my hips are sore like none other and I’m not sure how to loosen myself up! I love your videos. The first ones that I’ve found that are tough but doable and way fun!!

  9. Jillian says:

    Hey Cassey…..
can you do a boxing workout? XD i heard its really fun and it’s a great workout.

  10. D. says:

hey, I have fresh tattoo on my belly and my tattoo artist said I can’t excercise whole week to not stretch it. today it’s already a week but when I started excercising I felt my tattoo is stretching and it hurts a little so I guess I have to wait a little bit longer, but do you have any ideas what can I do? I feel like I’m falling out my shape and I can’t stand it, I need some work out 🙁

  11. LOVE this idea! Joining my two loves – working out and best friends with a fun run!!

  12. Blair says:

  13. I know you love pancakes, so I thought you might want to try this out
    https://healthyrevelations.wordpress.com/2013/02/06/banana-chocolate-chip-pancake-brownie-oatmeal-recipe/
It’s a breakfast recipe that is extremely low calorie (way under 250), but it takes like you’re eating something thats thousands of calories.
I just had it for breakfast, and it completely satisfied my pancake craving and natural sweet tooth 🙂

  16. Lucy says:

Hey guys, please help me. I don’t know what to do. I love Cassey’s workouts and from monday to friday I exercise at least 30 minutes and I want to lose some weight but I have problem with easting clean 🙁

    1. teilzeitDAU says:

      hi Lucy
first of all, let me say this: don’t beat yourself up too much! you said you’re already sticking to your workout routine,so that’s something!
as goes for the troubles w/ eating clean: what exactly is it you’re having problems with? is it that you don’t like the taste (e.g. of veggies) or do you eat clean throughout the day and “pig out” in the evening? or do you get “weak” when it comes to all those temptations that you’re confronted with during the day?

different problems will call for different measures that’s why i’m asking 🙂

in case of the first example, i’d recommend you try them a few more times (it takes the brain several attempts till it starts liking something unknown), try Cassey’s yummy recipes and start with “easier” veggies (ie those that don’t have a strong flavour. for example carrots and green beans, but maybe not brussel sprouts or fennel 🙂 !)

for the second & third example – to which i can so relate!! – i can just say this:
at first it really takes a lot of effort to resist your cravings and not give in to temptations, BUT: trust me, after only 3-4 days of resisting them, they will actually start to become more manageable (bc your brain usually craves what it’s used to eating, so if it hasn’t had xy for some time, it won’t crave it as much) and you’ll feel so much better.

in fact, it was only just this morning that i noticed the following: I have been eating clean again for only 5 days now (i.e. since Feb 1; I had had some major pig-outs in January and just couldn’t seem to control my cravings anymore but I got back on track on Feb 1), and since yesterday morning, i just can’t stop feeling good and smiling.
i know this sounds super weird but it’s true. there are like inexplicable waves of happiness flowing through me 24/7 and i am absolutely positive that this is due to my finally eating clean / staying on track with my diet and workout schedule again bc it really can’t be for the weather (rainy&cold) – and i haven’t fallen in love either 😉

let me tell you: this feeling beats the feeling when eating junk food x85746564393947! and it was SO worth the first 3-4 tough days. i am still having some not-so-clean things (omg vanilla ice cream w/ honey and crushed almonds!), but i enjoy them in moderation bc i know that pigging out on them will not make me as happy as eating them in moderation 🙂

i hope some of my tips can help you! 🙂

      xx C.

I love the fun run idea
I have no friends that like to run,. and I may be the only crazy person I know who will dance in the street or anywhere in public.
Thanks for sharing, maybe I’ll do this on my own or maybe make my husband do it, though he would rather eat nails.
Thanks so much cassey you are so funny, wish I could run with you.

  18. Mandy says:

Would love to get that playlist — pumped up love songs sounds fun! Any 80s on it? I’m envisioning some “High On You” in that genre.

    1. teilzeitDAU says:

hahah or that one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfvFm6NGC20 #jammingto80s!

  19. Ginny says:

This sounds like so much fun!! You crack me up and always brighten my day CASSEY! 🙂

  20. Leila says:

Hej Cassie! You know what would be totally awesome? If you actually sold and make iPhone covers! Omg, that would be the best motivation ever!
    You are the best! XO

    1. Chimsom says:

AHHHHH!!! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!!! 🙂 🙂

    2. teilzeitDAU says:

      aaaaah yesss!!!!

  21. steph says:

Cassy, you are simply amazing. I just want to thank you so much for your dedication and effort.
You inspire me to be fit and healthy. 🙂 I love watching your videos and reading your blog so please keep it up!! xx

  22. Lina says:

This sounds so good! So much fun AND a good workout 😀
I love this about you, Cassey, you’re a positive person, doing what she loves most and helping others do the best for their bodies&minds, too.
And about the “People don’t care if you’re randomly dancing”-part, it’s true. Every person on the street has his/her own thoughts, problems, complexes, etc. and if they see you doing something silly, yet funny (like dancing around with someone), they’ll probably smile and say to themselves “Gosh, I wish I had the guts to do that…Looks like so much fun”. So yeah, do what you love, guys! 😀 Regardless of who is watching.

  23. ivana says:

Cassey, today I was coming home after a bad day, and I was thinking that I need a friend just by my side right at that moment… And I thought, oh, great, I’ll just do some exercise and there I always have Cassey to tell some interesting story and make a fun time 🙂 So it was a really FabFeb abs workout 🙂

And this fun run is another fab idea, I can’t wait for spring to try it (it’s actually freeeezing down here in Europe!) Maybe it will manage to convince my sister into workout as well 🙂

what a cute idea! been running for two years and absolutely am in love with it, but this is a great idea to get adrenaline pumping! also, there are 5k runs(3miles) where you can do a zombie run, color run, etc., to get really pumped and to either go solo, or get s group to get chased by zombies or throw color balloons at eachother!!!

  25. Aja says:

Love it. That is such a good idea!

  26. Caroline G says:

Running is boring. I always say I don’t like it because it’s so slow which sounds funny, because if I ran faster & ran more often it would probably be faster. But, I don’t like running enough to actually do that. I’d rather do biking or something that is at least fast paced. But, I would try the “fun run” even if it was by myself, even though that would look pretty funny. lol

  27. livia says:

haha I LOVED the idea. just gotta find a friend who’s crazy enough to dance in the middle of the street with me!!! hahaha. can you give us some songs examples for the playlist?

  28. Ivori Rose says:

I love walking and jogging on my treadmill while watching my favorite show !

  29. I wish i could run haha i’m so bad at it. I love pilates though 🙂
I found a new chia fluff recipe. It’s never been made before, and it’s perfect for detox, plus it’s filling andd delicious
