Tips for Getting Everything You Want in Life

Tips for Getting Everything You Want in Life

Hey guys!

Just wanted to a quickie post that you may find motivational. Have any of you ever read The Secret? It’s a book that basically tells you that if you really want something to happen, all you have to do is send that message into the universe, and it will one day happen. It’s not magical or anything. What it is is you being clear with your goals and how you will execute them. If you are focused and are resilient, you can make anything you want to happen…happen.

Does that make any sense or does it sound like huhhhhh to you?

Haha, no worries.

Listen up. You can achieve anything in life…ANYTHING…all you have to do is be willing to work hard and stay on track. So whether you want to lose weight, find a new boyfriend, start a blog, get a promotion, find that perfect dress, or even find a parking spot (seriously) – this is what I want you to do:

  1. Send a mental message out into the world and say “I want to lose 5 lbs!!!!” (We will use weight loss as the example here) Maybe shout it to tell the universe you’re serious.
  2. Then write it down and paste it on your wall. A wall that you frequent a lot. How about the one by your computer or by your closet?
  3. Then write down 3 simple things you can do to get there.
    1. I will workout for 1 hr a day, 5 times a week.
    2. I will drink at least 8 glasses of water every day.
    3. I will write down what I eat for every meal until I reach my goal.
  4. Then do it.
  5. Your dream will come true.

That’s it! Do you know why successful people are successful? I’m not even talking about making $, I’m talking about achieving your dreams and finding happiness – successful people are able to have a vision and make it happen. They aren’t just lucky. I mean, so many people say they are going to do something and they never do it. Why? Because they waver. They forget. They lose track. They lose focus. By writing down your goal PHYSICALLY and seeing it EVERYDAY – there is no way you can forget it.

Oprah once said, “I believe luck is preparation meeting opportunity. If you hadn’t been prepared when the opportunity came along, you wouldn’t have been lucky.”

If you are SERIOUS about something and you want it BAD enough, IT WILL HAPPEN. Sometimes you don’t even know how, but when you put your heart and soul into something, 100%, genuinely, the universe is fair. It will reciprocate. You can’t be fake about it though.

Much love, work hard, and live passionately!

I believe what you are saying Cassey…….i read The secret and now i am currently reading The Power of Now……i remember when i was in high school i wanted to go direct to college and didn’t have money but i wrote in down in my diary on my first year of high school and didn’t know how to get the money but i asked it anyway …..and i got it( imagine, for the first time the year i was finishing high school the government started giving scholarship for direct entry students) and when i was doing my first degree, i wanted to go direct to Masters degree after i graduate. It was( is) very expensive and couldn’t afford but again i wrote it down that i want to, even without knowing how, i kept wishing and thinking about it often and i got it ( for the first time when i was in my last year of first degree …….the agency from Swiss came at my university started a two year program to sponsor two students for Masters each year and i was nominated and selected)…….by then i didn’t even have The Secret but after reading it now, i know what they are talking about is true…..just ask, believe and you will receive:)

  4. Fun post! Thanks!

My tip for successfully achieving goals is ACCOUNTABILITY. I tell as many people as will stand to listen. During my performance review at work, we were asked to write personal goals and I wrote, “Do a chinup. Run a 7:00 mile.” I blog about it, post about it on message boards, and Facebook it. Everyone’s probably sick to death of hearing it, but it helps me so much.

This question may seem kind of weird and out-of-place, but I was just wondering, because I’m sure you’ve had the same issue and probably found a solution by now! I work out pretty much every day, and obviously that means I shower every day, and wash my hair every day too. But using shampoo so often can’t be good for my hair and I know it certainly isn’t good for my scalp, yet I can’t just rinse my hair with water because then it gets greasy too fast. So I’m wondering how you get around this?
    Thanks in advance!
    P.S. Great post, very motivating!!!

Not gonna lie, hate The Secret. You don’t get things by putting it out into the universe. But I like the spin you put on it, which is with HARD WORK, you can achieve what you want. I like Jillian Micheals take on this, which she write about in Unlimited. Much better book to read than The Secret in my opinion! Another book that I liked on the same subject is Be That Girl! by Tina O’Connor. There are some concepts that I’m a little meh about but overall, great book.

I agree, you dont get things by asking the universe but by hard work and determination. Not a fan of ‘the secret’.

My new goal is to have a workout wardrobe as fabulous as yours Cassey!!!

Let’s see I need some new:
    1. Awesome Shoes (brighter color the better)
    2. New sleek top (also bright, maybe some pink in it)
    3. Booty Shorts!

Ok, I did just buy some new workout capris this weekend and a new knotted tank top that looks great with them. But I still feel like I need more!

I love, love, love this post! I read The Secret back in middle school and didn’t really buy into any of it because my mom was pushing me to read it and when you’re 12-14 you don’t want to have anything to do with your parents, but now that I read the basics again I really get it. I’m going through a rough time right now but I think I need to focus on this, maybe make some cool inspiration graphic to print out and hang up! Thanks for continuing to be the wonderful inspiration that you are!
    xx

Thank you. This is what I really, really needed to read today. Lately it seems like nothing is happening the way I hope it will. I realize that I need to be more determined to make things happen.

I LOVE The Secret! Have you ever read anything by Wayne Dyer?? I recommend the Power of Intention~ it’s amazing!! Thank you for always extending your BEAUTIFUL energy!!^^

  18. Colleen says:

    Hi Cassey,

I love the book “The Secret.” I believe you get what you think with some planning like you said. I did the parking space trick on the way to Walmart one day, saying “I’m going to park close to the door” out loud. My husband thought I was a nut, but I got a spot right by the door that was not handicap parking. I love your workout videos. Thank you.

I just put a picture of my top-choice graduate school as my desktop background. I’m sure it will help me slow down the Facebook/computer games procrastination business when I have papers to write!

    You’re beautiful!
