I am totally that extroverted texter who uses ALL the exclamation marks!!! And emojis 🤣 and all caps to SHOW EXCITEMENT!!! That way there's no room for textual misunderstandings! But I know not everyone works like that and whenever I get texts/emails from friends and coworkers who just respond with one word and no punctuation/emojis, I have NO idea how I'm supposed to interpret emotion and subtext!!!
